Charles Norchi is an associate professor of Law at the University of Maine School of Law. An international lawyer, educator, and author, he has lectured and consulted in more than two dozen nations and has taught and published widely in the areas of international law, human rights, law of the sea, public policy, and nation-building. Dr. Norchi has extensively worked on law and human rights in Afghanistan, has recently served as counselor to the United Nations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and is currently working on law and policy pertaining to maritime ports.
