Huanzhen Luo is an associate professor of economics at Tokyo's Keizai University. He is researching the respective roles of the state and the market and their interactions in economic development in light of China's experience. He is also an associate professor at the Department of Economics of Tokyo Kenzai University, Tokyo, Japan. He is head of the secretariat for the Japanese Research Association of Chinese Economy. Professor Luo has written several books including Economic Development of China (2005, co-author). His current research focuses on poverty reduction, education, and economic development in rural China. He received his master's degree in economics and completed his Ph.D. studies at Hitotsubashi University; earned his Ph.D. and master's degrees in economics from Renmin University, China; and received his bachelor's degree in economics from Zhejiang University, China. |
