Jin Zhao is a professor of economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), researching international trade, international investment, the Japanese economy, and the opening-up of the Chinese economy. Zhao presided over a project of the Ministry of Commerce of China on the "Eleventh Five-Year Program." She was awarded the thesis and monograph prize by the Ministry of Commerce. In addition, she won the first prize for the "China Association of International Trade Outstanding Thesis Prize" twice and the "Excellent Policy Decision Information Prize" twice. Zhao is concentrating on an analysis of Sino-U.S. economic relations and global economic cooperation.
