Jon Mills is the project manager of Asia Vision 21 at Asia Programs. His previous positions at Harvard were as East Asia representative in the central administration and administrative director of the Program on US-Japan Relations. His work has taken him on multiple visits to China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia, often accompanying members of the Harvard Corporation, the President, the Provost, deans, or faculty members of the University. Among his many assignments have been bolstering coordination of Asia-related programs among the university’s ten faculties and strengthening linkages with counterpart institutions, governments, corporations, foundations, alumni groups, and associates of Harvard in Asia. Mills has a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a M.A. from Cornell University’s Department of East Asian Studies, and a certificate from the Inter-University Center in Tokyo. Prior to working at Harvard, Mills owned and managed a commercial real estate development firm in Boston.
