Lee Kyeahn is a former member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (2004-2008). During his term, he focused on the underprivileged, women, handicapped, and impoverished constituents. Before entering politics in 2004, Kyeahn worked at several companies of the Hyundai Business Group. His 28 year career with Hyundai began in 1976 at Hyundai Heavy Industries. Twenty years later, in 1996, he became the chief operating officer of the Group Chairman's office, responsible for monitoring the activities of all affiliates and developing new business. Kyeahn received his bachelor's degree in business management from Seoul National University in 1975. He is interested in history and leadership and will return to public service after his fellowship. |
