Qi Zheng is a Ph.D. candidate of NGO Research Center, School of Public Policy & Management, Tsinghua University, China. Her research focuses on the relationship between governments and NGOs. She is now writing her doctoral dissertation on the role of the government in the process of social self-organizing by studying community organizations. In order to make her dissertation more practical, she took a temporary post as an assistant secretary in the government of Chaoyang District of Beijing last year. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Renming University, China.
