Sione Poses (Posesi) Bloomfield was born in the UK and has attended school in Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. Bloomfield earned B.A. and L.L.B. degrees from the Australian National University (ANU) holding the distinction of being the first Tongan to earn a law degree from ANU. Bloomfield has worked in London, Canberra, Athens, Nuku'alofa (Tonga), and most recently served as attorney general of the Marshall Islands. Committed to creating a vibrant Pacific region, Bloomfield has a long-term focus on public service that is inclusive, efficient, and accountable. His particular interests include sea-level rise, sustainable marine fisheries, and promotion of regional trade. |
