The Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School of Government supports excellence in the study and practice of democratic governments, institutions, and processes. The Institute aims to improve government by sharing cutting edge ideas and promoting innovative practices.
The Ash Summer Fellowships program offers opportunities to Harvard Kennedy School degree students to work in the most innovative government programs and offices throughout the United States and abroad. These fellowships are part of the Ash Institute’s efforts to enrich students’ HKS experience while harnessing the talent and experience of students to foster excellence in government around the world.
All students chosen for the summer Fellowships in Innovation, Latin American Local Government, and Urban Policy will participate in a spring 2009 seminar series on issues in local government. In the fall of 2009, all students will share their experiences in a seminar series open to the Kennedy School community.
